so on Dec. 8th i had a schedualing conflict between my band's christmas concert, or A KISS CONCERT!!!!!!! (guess which one i went to)i got a t-shirt at the kiss concert and everything. saw my ex boyfriend, MET KISS, and painted my face. ill put a picture up l8r of it. it was awesome. anyway, today at achool, i got my ass chewed out for it by mr. newhart, the band director, and i just had to go and be all smart-ass on him. so i quit band today. as soon as i got ready to go to the band room after school, i almost started crying cuz i noticed im not gonna be able to do that for too much longer. its gonna suck, but im happy im out of there. the directors pick favorites. guess who's not a favorite? they basically pushed me to quit anyway. they have this thing at our school where 1st year band kids are in beginner's class, 7th grade thats just starting an instrument and people in band with grade problems go into an advanced class (i went there cuz of grades) and good 7th graders and 8th graders go into the honor band. the rest are high school band. anyway, they told me they'd move me to the honor badn if i got my grades up but they wouldnt move me up til i was passing ALL classes with a C or better. well there's this one kid named Travis that is having the exact same problem with grades as i am, and they are putting HIM in the honor band and not me! not to be mean or anything, but im WAY better than him. they are putting him in there cuz why? cuz he's a favorite. they hate me i hate them so i saved them the trouble of taking me out and just quit all together. im happy i quit. i dont have to deal with their favoritism and hatred, and i dont have to deal with as much depression and stress. ill continue to play and everything but they can forget me playin in band. they really cant afford to lose very many more people. im so mad at newhart right now. i dont care about him at all.
